Winter Multisport Series 2008
This is what a series should be about, a limited number of races where people of all abilities can compete against each other repeatedly to deliver a meaningful ranking.
The Winter Multisport Series aims to bring a real competitive spirit whether you're fighting for 1st or 101st place. At the end of the season, you will know where you are truly ranked.
First place gets 100 Pts, second 99 Pts, third 98 Pts, etc, until 100th place gets 1 Pt. If only 80 participants show up for example, last place gets 20 Pts.
Points will be attributed according to your overall placing NOT your age group or gender placing.
Your overall standing will be based on your top two races of the series. However you must be present for the final race in order to claim your prize.
A Prize Money Purse of $600 cash will be awarded to the Top 3 overall (M&F) and additional prizes and gift certificates will go deeper into the field making the total value of the awards around $1250.
1st Place $150
2nd Place $100
3rd Place $50
Entries to races will also be awarded along with gift certificates between $50 - $25 depending on how many sign up and we may go deeper in the fields.
Awards will also be given to the Top 3 Junior and Masters (45+) categories for each gender (no double dipping!).
