Welcome to the home of winter multisport in the Northeast.
Winter triathlon was first introduced to the East Coast in 2008, and involves running, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing all on the snow. There are hopes to get winter triathlon into the Winter Olympics in the near future. Currently, there are two winter triathlons and one winter duathlon in the northeast region. In 2009 the USAT National Championships will be held in Bend, OR and the ITU World Championships will be held in Gaishorn, Austria.

This year the Series spans two States (MA & NH) with two winter triathlons and a winter duathlon. The season kicks off over the last weekend of January with the New Hampshire Winter Triathlon Festival, which includes a kid's race, clinics, dinner with a speaker, and the race on Sunday. Cash and prizes will be awarded at each race, with your best two races counting towards your overall series standings. The Gunstock Winter Triathlon will be a Regional Qualifier for athletes wishing to represent Team USA at the ITU World Championships. The Massachusetts Winter Triathlon will host a relay event for the first time. The Weston Winter Duathlon will act as a Club race for all the NE clubs to compete for the title of New England Club Champion.
